We will have a 1-hour lunch break from 12:00-1:00pm during the Saturday workshop and a later lunch from 1:30-2:30pm during the Sunday Workshop. We encourage these lunch options:

Note: The Pub at The Creamery is in the same building as the dance studio, but their food takes a long time to make and you may be late to the next class!
The daytime workshops will take place at the Redwood Raks World Dance Collective at 824 L St Suite 16, Arcata, CA 95521.
Parking: there are a few spaces on the East side of the creamery building, otherwise street parking on 8th, 9th, etc.
Studio entrance is at the end of the courtyard for The Pub off the parking lot of the Old Creamery Building, right next to Bang Bang, east-facing entrance.
The evening dances will take place at the Arcata Veterans Memorial Building at 1425 J St, Arcata, CA 95521
Parking: neighborhood street parking along J, 14th, 15th, etc.

If you are traveling to Humboldt from outside the area, we may be able to connect you with local dancers who can host you for the weekend. There is a section of the registration page you can complete if you are interested. If you missed that section, you can contact us through this form. We cannot guarantee that everyone will get assigned local housing that needs it, but we will do our best!
Peter Flahiff and Lauren Smith are two dynamic instructors with over forty years of teaching experience between them. Based in Seattle, they are highly in-demand, sharing their passion for the great classic dances of the Swing Era. Their classes and workshops are noted for their clarity, humor and high spirits! Young & Lovely give an engaging and joyfully theatrical performance that invites the audience to be transported back in time to the days of Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra. The sisters are always dressed to the nines and enjoy engaging with audience members through coy comments and enthusiastic performing.
